Artificial leather

Satchels may be ordered to the manufacturing in a variety of styles, from large book bags with shoulder straps to rounded handbags with two short handles. I offer a medium-sized bag with a single shoulder strap, and a flap that covers the opening at the top, but it is possible to adjust it to match the size and style a person needs. A person manufacturing the satchel can make it from just about any type of fabric, but a tough, durable fabric such as sturdy heavy nylon, canvas or denim works best. It is easy to find strap material of different colors in most fabric stores at the departments of the ribbon and trim. I usually sew the satchel, using 0,5 cm seam allowance for all the seams. That's what I do manufacturing the satchel. I cut two pieces of fabric, each 30 cm wide by 25 cm tall. These are the front and back of my satchel. I also cut a strip of fabric 80 cm long by 10 cm wide. This is the sides and bottom of my satchel. Then I pin the outer edge of the strip to the sides and lower edge of the satchel front, with the fabric right sides together. So I stitch the strip to the satchel front. The same manufacturing is made with the other edge of the strip and the satchel back. Then I fold the top edge of the satchel over 0,5 cm toward the wrong side and press the fold flat. I also fold the edge over 0,5 cm again, and press it flat. Then I make the satchel cover. I cut a piece of fabric 30 cm wide by 40 cm tall. This is the flap that goes over the top of the satchel. I fold this piece in half from top to bottom, right sides together. Then I stitch along the sides, leaving the edge opposite the fold open. I also turn the open edges over 1cm and press them flat and I turn the flap right side out. I go on my manufacturing by lining up the folded edge of the flap with the top edge of the back of the satchel. It's time to pin them together, making sure I catch both layers of the flap in the pins. Now I sew the flap to the top edge of the satchel, making sure I don't sew the satchel shut. Then I take the straps prepared in advance. I pin the ends of the strap material to each side of the satchel. I place the strap over my shoulder, to make sure the strap is a convenient length. I sew one end of the strap material to each side of the satchel. Then I sew one end of the tache to the center of the lower edge of the flap. Now I have to close the flap over the bag and position the other half of the tache just below it. I sew the other part of the tache to the front of the satchel, making sure I don't sew the satchel shut. I adore my manufacturing of my satchel as it is easy and quick.
